The steps outside the southwest corner of the University of Virginia’s Observatory Hill Dining Hall will be closed from Jan. 7 through Feb. 28 to accommodate the reconstruction of the steps for the new residence halls.

Three new residence halls are currently under construction as part of the Alderman Road residential halls replacement project. They will be the third, fourth and fifth new buildings erected since the project began.

The construction area will be fenced off. Pedestrians will need to seek an alternate route around or through the building.
