The John Paul Jones area was full of families as the annual WVPT book fest provided free books for children in Charlottesville. They had more than 2,000 books that kids could choose from including new books and some that were gently used. There was also fun and games for the entire family. The festival aims to put a book in every child’s hand.... There were more than 50 different organizations helping with the event and providing educational opportunities. The University of Virginia Children’s Hospital also supported the annual festival.
