University of Virginia to Host Annual Study Abroad Fair

September 9, 2008 — International study programs will converge on the University of Virginia's Newcomb Hall Plaza Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the twice-yearly Study Abroad Fair.

The fair gives U.Va. students an opportunity to meet with representatives from multiple programs while deciding where they wish to study and what kind of program best fits their goals. U.Va. Study Abroad Program directors and outside program providers will be available to answer questions about course offerings, home-stay options, language classes and other particulars.

In case of inclement weather, the fair will be held in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom.

The International Studies Office supports U.Va.'s international mission by developing and coordinating activities and services designed to create and enhance a globally aware, culturally diverse education and research environment. The Study Abroad team advises students on study-abroad opportunities, assists faculty with developing study-abroad programs, and promotes cross-cultural and safety awareness among students, scholars and faculty.
