This Week’s U.Va. Board of Visitors Meeting To Be Streamed Live

This week’s open sessions of the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors meeting will be webcast live.

Effective with this meeting, new procedures for media and the public who are planning to attend open sessions of the board are being instituted.

Media are asked to RSVP to the Media Relations office in advance of the meeting and bring a valid media credential to enter the session.  Send RSVP to pdc@virginia.edu.

A new, ticketed seating plan for the public is being implemented to facilitate an increase in the number of available seats.

Tickets will be provided at the site of the sessions on a first-come, first-served basis. A ticket is required to attend the open sessions of the meeting. When leaving the meeting room, tickets must be surrendered to University officials at the entrance of the room. 

There will also be an overflow viewing site in Newcomb Hall, in a different room every day. Viewing room information is available on the Board of Visitors website.

The first open session of the board – the Buildings and Grounds Committee – starts Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the auditorium of the Harrison Institute / Small Special Collections Library.
