The Charlottesville Symphony wrapped up its most recent season this weekend with a concert at Capital One Hall in Tyson’s Corner.
The symphony, comprising members of the University of Virginia’s music faculty and student musicians as well as Charlottesville musicians, was presented by UVA Arts and UVA Northern Virginia. The performance was a joint effort between the two entities.

Assistant professor of music and percussionist JoVia Armstrong, music director Benjamin Rous and the Free Bridge Quintet, featuring jazz performance director John D’earth, performed at Capital One Hall on Sunday.
The eclectic program included Leonard Bernstein’s overture to “West Side Story” and an arrangement of Maurice Ravel’s “Bolero.”
