Although she grew up acting onstage and on screen, Tori Kotsen long suspected her future in entertainment would be behind the scenes.
Raised in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, Kotsen began acting at a young age. The experience sparked a love of storytelling that followed her to the University of Virginia, where she enrolled as an economics major, unsure whether acting would remain part of her future.
But she couldn’t stay away from the stage. During her second year, she joined the UVA Department of Drama production of “The Wolves,” a play about a girls’ soccer team and the trials and tribulations of adolescence. The production convinced her that her creativity would always be part of her future, even if she didn’t yet know what form it would take.
