Computer animation has applications in almost all disciplines. University of Virginia architecture professor Earl Mark teaches students from across Grounds to use it as a tool to think visually and also to tell a story.

The American West has been inspiration to artists since the late 1800s. It inspired students in the summer session course "Earth Art and Photography" to create their own compelling responses to the places they visited.
