University of Virginia leaders have scheduled more than two dozen conversation and workshop sessions for faculty, staff and students to help President Scott Beardsley gather ideas and feedback as he begins developing his strategic plan to lead the University through the next several years.
The sessions that begin Wednesday and run through Oct. 1 are the latest in Beardsley’s ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders and hear ideas on the path the University should chart during his presidency. The president’s “Grounds for Conversation” listening and learning sessions began shortly after he took office in January and have reached faculty, staff, students and alumni across Grounds and across the country. In July, Beardsley announced a strategic planning committee and launched an online survey to further engage members of the University community.
The interactive workshops with the strategic planning committee will be held across Grounds and UVA Health facilities throughout September. Registration for students and for faculty and staff is open. Both require access through the University’s NetBadge system.
