What’s on your mind? University of Virginia President Jim Ryan wants to know.

On Tuesday, Ryan announced a new initiative called “Lunches on the Lawn,” an outdoor lunch series aimed at providing him more opportunities to engage with UVA students. In addition, Ryan said he will host office hours in Madison Hall.

Students interested in being considered for either a future office hour meeting (15-minute intervals) or a small group lunch (monthly, on the Lawn), can sign up here. Students will be chosen via a random lottery and contacted by a member of Ryan’s staff with scheduling details.

“I look forward to hearing about the topics on your minds and how things are going this year," Ryan said in his post.

Other engagement opportunities that Ryan is spearheading include “Arts on the Hill,” “Run With Jim,” “Democracy Dialogues” and, most recently, “Inside UVA,” a podcast featuring candid conversations with people across the University.
