A University of Virginia student is raising money to help fund research for a disease that affects around 30,000 Americans a year. Erica Susi, a fourth-year student at the University of Virginia, organized a field day at the university to raise money for the Huntington Disease Society of America on Sunday. Children had a chance to practice sports with varsity players from UVA.

Stefaniak, a 2009 graduate of Virginia Tech, decided to apply for grad school and hooked up with the Darden School to work on her master’s degree. Sadly, Al Drummond wasn’t present to enjoy the Cavaliers’ first NCAA basketball championship. He died Aug. 12, 2018, of neurosarcoidosis. Drummond deserves special recognition in Wahoo lore; he became UVA’s first African-American varsity basketball player in 1971 under Coach Bill Gibson.

The Harvard College Democrats are leading a coalition of more than 40 Young Democrats chapters to boycott the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee over their policy to protect incumbent Democrats from primary challengers. Chapters involved in the boycott include: Arizona State University, Dartmouth College, Michigan State University, Rutgers University-Newark, and the University of Virginia, The Hill reported.
