(Editorial) It’s not a bait-and-switch — rather, as University of Virginia officials have said, their tuition and fee plan is transparent. The proposed escalation of costs for upperclassmen is described for all to see. But it is curious. And it is complicated. And Board of Visitors members from the finance committee are justified in looking it askance.

The University of Virginia announced Friday the suspension of one of its oldest fraternity chapters pending an investigation. Under the suspension, the Lambda chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order must cease all fraternal activities, said Jacob Pittman, president of UVa's Inter-Fraternity Council.

More than 150 participants of all ages went for a run at the University of Virginia Saturday morning to help children with cancer. Notus Sports - a Charlottesville sports and event management company - organized the first ‘Hoos Heal 5K and Kids Race at UVA's Nameless Field. Funds from the race will benefit the Department of Pediatric Oncology at the UVA Medical Center.
But to be a legitimate presidential contender and appeal to the mainstream, Paul must move away from some of his father's positions, such as abolishing the Federal Reserve and sharply limiting military involvement, said Larry Sabato, director of the Center for Politics at the University of Virginia. "There's a downside to putting distance between himself and his father," Sabato said. "Some hardcore Paul-ites already do not trust Rand, and consider him squishy compared to their hero Ron.
