CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Simmons executive Tim Oakhill told graduates of the University of Virginia's business school that university founder Thomas Jefferson would be pleased to see his vision of "educational ethos" realized in their program. Oakhill, executive vice president of marketing at Simmons, spent two years attending classes online and on the campus here to earn his Master's of Business Administration degree. He was chosen by his fellow graduates in the MBA program to deliver the graduation speech for the class, which Oakhill described as "a great honor.

Ear infections are common in kids and toddlers, and it's just as common for doctors to prescribe antibiotics to treat them. New research, though, has some pediatricians rethinking that. ... Research from the University of Virginia found that, for kids under the age of three, 90 percent of ear infections will resolve on their own – without antibiotics. Over-the-counter medications are just as effective as well, particularly for toddlers.
A documentary produced by U.Va.’s Center for Politics and the Community Ideas Stations has won the International Academy of Visual Arts' highest honor. “Questioning the Constitution,” a film by Mason Mills, explores constitutional reform and it ultimately questions whether the document should be changed or reformed.
