April at the University of Virginia is always busy, and even more so as the Office of Admission hosts Days on the Lawn, a series of four open houses to give a taste of University life to students still deciding if they will enroll.

More than 56,000 applied to join the Class of 2027 in another record-breaking year, and uncommitted students have until May 1 to reserve their place.

Days on the Lawn kicked off April 1, welcoming those admitted to the School of Engineering and Applied Science

On Monday, UVA will host students admitted to the School of Architecture, the School of Nursing, the kinesiology program in the School of Education and Human Development, the College Science Scholars and the Echols Scholars.

The April 17, Days on the Lawn is slated for students interested in learning about the resources and experiences of Black and African American students as well and Hispanic and Latinx students at UVA.

The final session on April 22 is for all admitted students who are still undecided.

Sessions on April 10, 17 and 22 begin in the morning on the Lawn and include student a capella and dance group performances and an appearance by the Cavalier Marching Band. Tours of various schools and Grounds and dedicated parent/guardian panel discussions will follow.

For students unable to attend a Days on the Lawn program, Office of Admission officials suggest signing up for an admitted student tour. For those unable to travel to Charlottesville, the Office of Admission also offers several online student experience sessions. Students can do that by following the instructions on their MyUVA application portal.
