The Virginia Athletics Foundation is launching the Sabre Society to support University of Virginia athletics and its more than 750 student-athletes.

“The Sabre Society will provide critical support to elevate the experience of all 27 sports at the University of Virginia,” Director of Athletics Carla Williams said. “This new philanthropic society positions UVA Athletics to compete for championships while continuing to provide a world-class experience for our student-athletes. The Sabre Society will keep Virginia Athletics at the forefront, which is especially vital at this moment in college athletics.”

Sabre Society members will gain access to unique opportunities based on giving levels, including invitations to special events and behind-the-scenes access.

Virginia Athletics Foundation Executive Director and Deputy Athletics Director Kevin Miller said the introduction of the Sabre Society will have an impact upon current and future Cavalier athletes.

“The Sabre Society will not only create a unique connection among donors but ensure that UVA Athletics is equipped with the necessary resources to compete for conference and national championships during this critical juncture in college athletics,” Miller said.

Membership levels within the Sabre Society start with a commitment of $25,000 payable over a five-year period.
