MEDIA ADVISORY: U.Va. President, English Professor Lead Flash Seminar on ‘Living the Good Life’

What is the good life, and how will you know if you’re living it? Does it have to do with money and power, or with the pursuit of dutiful service to others? And do we have a duty to ensure that others have the opportunity to live the good life along with us?

These are questions University of Virginia President Teresa A. Sullivan and English professor Michael Suarez will pose during a Flash Seminar they’re leading Monday at 7 p.m. in Carr's Hill.

Media are invited to attend the event and hear how participants – including students, faculty, staff and community members – ponder and discuss these and other fundamental questions about the ‘good life.’

Flash Seminars are one-time classes open to all students, faculty, staff and community members.

Space for the event will be limited. Please contact Rebecca Arrington (434-924-7189, rpa@virginia.edu) if you plan to attend; TV reporters, please contact Carolyn Dillard (434-982-3030, cdillard@virginia.edu).
