December 9, 2011 — George Reynolds Johnson, a transportation worker in the University of Virginia Medical Center, died Dec. 3. He was 54.
Johnson worked in the patient transportation department of the Medical Center for more than 27 years. He had a reputation for integrity and love for all his patients and the families who visited the hospital. His commitment to excellence was recognized in 1995 when he was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award.
