Last year's Legislative Forum drew a capacity crowd to the Rotunda's Dome Room.

University of Virginia President Teresa A. Sullivan and U.Va.’s Office of State Governmental Relations will host area legislators Dec. 19 at noon for a public forum in the Rotunda Dome Room.

The invited legislators include Sen. Creigh Deeds (D-Hot Springs), Sen. Emmett Hanger Jr. (R-Mount Solon), Sen. Bryce Reeves (R.-Fredericksburg), Del. Robert Bell (R-Charlottesville), Del. R. Steven Landes (R-Verona), Del. David J. Toscano (D-Charlottesville) and Del. C. Matthew Fariss (R-Rustburg).

The annual event is an opportunity for the legislators to share their viewpoints and hear constituents’ opinions about the issues they anticipate will arise in the upcoming General Assembly session, including those on the future of higher education, health care, transportation plans and other state and local community issues. The event is open to the public and time will be reserved for questions and comments at the end of the forum.
