U.Va. Art Museum Hosts Final Friday Reception

February 13, 2012 — The University of Virginia Art Museum will host a Final Friday reception Feb. 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests will enjoy refreshments and the special exhibitions "Curator's Choice: People, Places, and Things," "Master Printmakers: The Italian Renaissance and Its Modern Legacy," "Tom Burckhardt: Paintings" and "100 Years of Photography."

This Final Friday will celebrate Mardi Gras with souvenirs and New Orleans blues, jazz, ragtime and zydeco music on piano and accordion, played by Matty Metcalfe.

Admission to Final Friday is $3, but is free for museum members and U.Va. students, thanks to Arts$.

Free parking is available at Culbreth Road Garage and in the A6 parking lot, next to Madison Bowl on Rugby Road.

The U.Va. Art Museum is open to the public Tuesdays through Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free. For information, visit here.
