Time magazine has ranked the University of Virginia the No. 3 public school for producing future leaders, moving it up one spot from last year’s ranking.
UVA placed No. 15 overall in the new list, jumping two spots from last year’s estimation. There are 125 schools on this year’s list.
UVA advanced in both categories even as Time and data gathering firm Statista doubled the number of U.S. leaders’ resumes analyzed. This year’s ranking is based on an analysis of 4,000 leaders’ qualifications.
Those people include CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, C-suite executives and diversity officers. The frontrunners also come from fields including government, artificial intelligence, sports, religious organizations and major mission-driven nonprofits.
