A celebration of Tony Bennett, the University of Virginia’s most successful men’s basketball coach, will take place Saturday at John Paul Jones Arena.
Tributes to Bennett, who retired in October after a school-record 364 wins, including the 2018-19 national championship, will occur throughout the Cavaliers’ 5:30 p.m. game against Georgia Tech.
The University will raise a banner recognizing Bennett during a halftime ceremony, and each fan in attendance will receive a commemorative replica banner.
Many former Wahoo players are expected to be in attendance in association with UVA Men’s Basketball Alumni Day.
Tickets for Saturday’s game are still on sale.
