The Cavalier men’s tennis team, seeded fifth going into the NCAA Tournament, knocked off the No. 4, No. 1 and No. 3 seeds on the way to its sixth national title.
Sparling, who graduated Sunday from the University of Virginia with majors in history and economics, is in a public policy master’s program in the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and already has a seat at the national security table.
