U.S. Air Force cadets at the University of Virginia recently inducted members into the Arnold Air Society, a professional and honorary service organization comprising Air Force and Space Force cadets.
The Arnold Air Society aims to develop strong Air Force and Space Force officers and create personal relationships among the officer candidates. The society provides opportunities for officer candidates to exercise leadership, management, organizational and public relations skills.
The society encourages cadets to participate in campus and community service activities, demonstrating the close relationship between civilian and military institutions.
ROTC cadets at the University of Cincinnati created the Arnold Air Society in 1947. It was named after Gen. Henry “Hap” Arnold, the Air Force’s only five-star general.
