Visitors to the University of Virginia’s website this week will notice a few changes.
The virginia.edu homepage and its nearly 40 subpages have been redesigned, with a fresh look, better functionality and updated content. Among the improvements:
- New video, photography and text showcasing the University’s vibrant community and overall excellence.
- A new homepage section highlighting research, with links to the University’s research focus areas, pan-University institutes and latest research news.
- New functionality making content easier to access and ongoing work to ensure the site complies with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – standards for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
UVA’s schools and offices manage many of the websites and web pages linked to the virginia.edu homepage and its subpages. UVA’s main navigation links have not changed, although the utility navigation bar at the top right of the homepage has a new quick link to the popular UVA internal people search (Netbadge login is required).
University Communications welcomes comments and questions about the redesign. Please write to webmaster@virginia.edu.
