October 3, 2011 — Due to construction delays, the planned days-long alley closures at the University of Virginia's McCormick Road/West Range project, which had been expected to begin Tuesday, have been postponed.

Asphalt paving will still occur on Tuesday and Poe, Patterson and Colonnade alleys will be closed for a few hours during the day. Mews Alley and the L1 parking lot will be closed until 7 a.m. Thursday.

Contactors plan to have project completed by Oct. 31.
