Call for Papers: U21 Conference on Energy Technologies & Policy

April 16, 2008 — The first U21 International Conference on Energy Technologies & Policy will take place Sept. 8-10 at the University of Birmingham. It will focus on the latest advances and market developments in energy technologies, together with the economic and policy decisions that affect their implementation and acceptance on the global scene.

Abstracts for papers are now invited and should be submitted to fall within one of the following thematic areas:

• Energy distribution
• Renewable energy sources
• Energy efficiency
• Carbon capture and storage
• Public policy and economics

Authors' contributions to the conference will initially be selected on the basis of abstracts submitted online by e-mail to energyconf@contacts.bham.ac.uk. Abstracts are expected to describe original, previously unpublished work and should clearly indicate new and significant advances and their importance. Submitted abstracts should not exceed 400 words and should include authors' names, affiliations, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail addresses. The International Scientific Committee of the Conference will make the final decision on the acceptance of all papers. The deadline for abstracts is April 18.
