Career Fair To Give Seventh-Graders Insights Into Post-Secondary Options

More than 2,000 area students will explore post-secondary training and employment options during the Seventh Grade Career Expo, to be held Nov. 15 and 16 at the University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena.

Seventh-grade students from public schools in the city of Charlottesville and in Albemarle, Greene, Fluvanna and Nelson counties will explore career exhibits and participate in presentations describing the importance of developing workplace readiness skills. Presentations will also address the importance of maximizing high school opportunities by pursuing college and technical programs.

The career expo is hosted by Piedmont Futures and U.Va.’s Community Relations Office, in partnership with area public schools.
