February 18, 2011 — Robert Q. Berry III, associate professor of mathematics education at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, has been selected by the Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics to receive the 2011 William C. Lowry Mathematics Educator of the Year Award for the University Level. 

The award will be presented on March 11 during the council's awards dinner, part of its annual conference at the Ramada West Hotel in Richmond.
