A sun-splashed afternoon provided the ideal backdrop for an annual University of Virginia football tradition on Saturday.
Scott Stadium once again hosted the Blue-White Game, the scrimmage played in front of fans that ends spring practices and begins the countdown toward the fall season.
Members of the Cavalier faithful were treated on Saturday to beautiful weather, a competitive game and a post-game “Meet the Team” session where fans of all ages could engage with the UVA players and receive autographs.
The scene concluded Tony Elliott’s third spring as Virginia’s head coach. He saw signs over the course of the 15 spring practices that leave him encouraged as the Wahoos break for the summer. The 2024 season-opener is Aug. 31 against the University of Richmond at Scott Stadium.
