Stephanie Carter has been named as the new executive director of Madison House, a Charlottesville nonprofit that pairs UVA students with volunteer opportunities in the community.

“I am honored to join a well-established, long-standing community like Madison House,” Carter said. “Having worked in the Albemarle and Charlottesville City school systems for more than 12 years, I have always been impressed with the services Madison House provides to our schools. It is invigorating to join a team that works to align some of the best and brightest college students in our country to unique service opportunities and learning experiences that help meet local community needs.”

Carter will transition to Madison House in June.
