Photos: Starting the Year With Snow

Those on Grounds this week were treated to a pretty sight: the University of Virginia blanketed in snow.

Charlottesville got its first snow of the year on Tuesday, as a few inches of fluffy flakes began to fall in the late morning.

Students, staff and faculty members back for January term classes paused to enjoy it – wandering the Lawn, snapping pictures of the Rotunda and enjoying a wintry break from routine.
