University Leaders to Address Coronavirus Impact During Virtual Town Hall

University of Virginia President Jim Ryan and his senior leadership team will conduct a virtual town hall Thursday, providing updates on the ongoing impact of the coronavirus on UVA and answering questions from town hall participants.

The Zoom webinar town hall is scheduled for Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon, and those interested may register online. The town hall also will be livestreamed by the Miller Center of Public Affairs and on Virginia.edu.

Ryan and his team will provide the latest information on how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting University operations, academic instruction, students, research, health services, emergency preparedness and other areas. Speakers are scheduled to include Ryan, Provost Liz Magill, Chief Operating Officer J.J. Davis, and Executive Vice President for Health Affairs Craig Kent.

Those who register will also be able to submit questions during the town hall session. Registration is limited to 1,000 participants.

The session also will be recorded and made available for on-demand viewing.
