October 6, 2008 — University Human Resources will provide the 2008 flu vaccine to University of Virginia employees who are eligible for benefits. This year the shots will be available from Oct. 10 through Oct. 31.
UVA-WorkMed staff will administer the vaccine at multiple times and locations across Grounds to make it as convenient as possible. Visit www.hrs.virginia.edu/news for a complete listing of times and locations.
If you have clinical questions regarding the vaccine and who should or should not get the shot, call 434-243-0076. UVA-WorkMed requests that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding consult with their physicians prior to taking the vaccine.
If you are not sure if you are eligible to receive the shot, please call the Office of Employee Benefits at 924-4392.
