U.Va. Announces Third Annual Presidential Research Poster Competition

The University of Virginia is now accepting submissions for the 2013 Presidential Research Poster Competition. U.Va. post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduates are invited to submit their posters – highlighting research in high-impact and innovative growth areas – by March 18.

Finalists will present their posters for judging on May 3, with winning posters remaining on display in the Rotunda throughout the week of May 6.

The winning undergraduate and graduate/post-doc poster in each category will receive a $500 travel award, with all winners being personally recognized by University President Teresa A. Sullivan at the competition. Resident physicians and clinical fellows are encouraged to compete in the graduate/post-doc track. The categories are:

  • Physical and Environmental Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Biosciences and Health
  • Humanities, Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences
  • Law, Business, Policy and Education
  • Translational and Applied Research
  • Performing Arts, Fine Arts and Architecture
