October 6, 2010 — A dedication ceremony for a plaque honoring the memory of Morgan Dana Harrington will take place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 17, the one-year anniversary of her disappearance. The plaque will be installed on Copeley Bridge, where she was last seen alive.
The ceremony will be followed by a 3 p.m. showing in Newcomb Hall Theater of "A Gift for the Village," a film that has been dedicated to Harrington, and a reception in the theater lobby. The film's creator, Jane Vance, taught Morgan Harrington at Virginia Tech, and Harrington appears briefly in the film.
