May 6, 2009 — On Thursday, May 7, WCAV-CBS-19 will debut a weekly "UVA Today" segment during its evening news program. The segment, which airs at 6:35 p.m., will feature University of Virginia newsmakers being interviewed about their areas of expertise.

The first guest will be associate professor James Burroughs of the McIntire School of Commerce, who will discuss Americans' perceptions of what qualifies as a luxury and what is a necessity.
