U.Va. Transit Service to Hold Rider Appreciation Day

UPDATED

August 18, 2010 — The University of Virginia Transit Service will host a Rider Appreciation Day in the commuter parking lots at University Hall and Scott Stadium on Aug. 19. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WAS POSTPONED FROM AUG. 18.)

For commuters who park at Scott Stadium and University Hall lots and use a University bus to arrive at their final destination, University transit service will provide free coffee, assorted juices, water and pastries to passengers between 6 and 9 a.m.

The event is sponsored by the UTS Public Relations Committee, a student committee that held a "pilot" Rider Appreciation Day in the spring of 2010.
