Virginia Women's Chorus to Present 'Frabjous Songs of Spring'

April 14, 2008 — The 42-member Virginia Women's Chorus, directed by KaeRenae Mitchell, will present "Frabjous Songs of Spring" on April 18 at 8 p.m. and April 19 at 3 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson Memorial Church. The event's title is inspired both by the bizarre poem by Lewis Carroll and a piece in the concert lineup called "Jabberywocky."

The program showcases the Virginia Women's Chorus' variety. Going along with the Lewis Carroll theme, headlining the concerts are the three choruses from Irving Fine's "Alice in Wonderland Suite."

Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for general admission.
