March 2, 2012 – Tanya Denckla Cobb's book, "Reclaiming Our Food: How the Grassroots Food Movement Is Changing the Way We Eat," has been named one of the topop 10 books on the environment in 2012 by Booklist Online/American Library Association.
Cobb is associate director of the University of Virginia's Institute for Environmental Negotiation and teaches food system planning in U.Va.'s School of Architecture.
She was cited for her discussion of "ingenious approaches to solving health, social and environmental issues, including community-supported gardens, urban farming and the raising of backyard chickens and goats."
