William Gray Clark, a retired landscaper who worked for the University of Virginia’s Facilities Management, died Jan. 14 in Charlottesville. He was 71.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Park Street, with a reception following.
Clark began working at U.Va. in September 1979 and retired in June 2004. He was an equipment operator with landscape services. Maneuvering mowers on difficult slopes and clearing ranges and sidewalks with a small plow were part of the job.
