University of Virginia employees will join battalions of volunteers tackling a range of projects Wednesday for the annual United Way Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring.
Dozens of teams totaling more than 1,000 U.Va. workers – about half from the Health System and half from the academic division – will roll up their sleeves to donate their time to more than 100 projects at 54 sites. The Day of Caring serves non-profit organizations and schools in the city of Charlottesville and Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa and Nelson counties.
Most activities begin at 8:30 or 9 a.m. and go until noon or a little later.
