The second digital episode of “Arts on the Hill” dropped Sunday night, continuing efforts to keep the University of Virginia community connected through the arts even in this time of social isolation.

The episode, hosted by UVA President Jim Ryan and aide Matt Weber, opens with alumnus Micah Iverson, a current contestant on NBC’s “The Voice,” singing the “Good Old Song” from his home in Atlanta. It also included men’s basketball coach Tony Bennett reading a poem written by his daughter, Anna, called “The Sun Will Shine Again”; a song by third-year student Payton Moledor and her sister; and performances by trombonist Ben Dooley, alumna and artist Brittany Fan and the Virginia Belles a cappella group.

The final performance is by U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia, who was invited by Ryan to participate. Wearing his best Hoos gear, he performs The Rolling Stones’ PG-rated “Sweet Virginia” on his harmonica.

Those interested in submitting performances or making a recommendation can email uvaarts@virginia.edu.
