This week’s episode of “UVA Weekly” includes updates from University of Virginia President Jim Ryan and fourth-year student Nia Augustine, taking over co-host duties from her classmate, Davion Zeno.
Ryan and Augustine discuss a rise of COVID-19 cases in the Charlottesville area, safety precautions for the upcoming winter break, and the importance of getting a flu shot and taking care of your mental health. Additionally, Ryan asks students to share feedback for next semester, including thoughts about what worked well this semester and what could be improved. Any student wishing to submit feedback can visit this page on the Return to Grounds site.
The show also shares Veterans Day observances around Grounds, and includes a segment featuring the Loaves and Fishes food pantry, one of many community organizations partnering with the UVA Volunteer Center, where students, faculty members and employees can find ways to help the community during the pandemic.
