Whether laying down tracks or running on one, fourth-year student Claire Frazier Bolton has made her mark at the University of Virginia.
The aspiring artist got her first taste of the music business while still in high school, when record label scouts came calling. Now after balancing being a student-athlete and a musician, she’s looking to take her experience and expertise to a career behind the scenes in the music industry.
You can learn more about Bolton when a special edition of UVA Today, the “Music Beat,” hits your inbox Friday morning. Plus, you’ll have the chance to learn about the special request Elvis Costello made of a UVA student when he played his first show without his band and learn more about the student artist whose hand-drawn concert posters chronicle Charlottesville’s music scene of the 1980s and ’90s.
