Hi I'm Jim Ryan, President of the University of Virginia and today is Move-In Day. I'm going to go out and see if I can meet some families, maybe help them move in and check out if they maybe even know who I am. See you.

JIM: Hey there! I'm one of the Greeters, are you first-years? Can I ask you some very quick questions?

STUDENTS: Sure! What are you looking forward to the most? Football games!

JIM: Are you new here?

STUDENT: Yeah.

JIM: What's your name?

STUDENT: Fazel.

JIM: Fazel? Nice to meet you.

JIM: So I hear there's a new president? Do you know anything about him?

We've gotten emails about him, but I've never seen him or met him It must be getting annoying to get all those emails.

(LAUGHING) a little... I got a couple of his emails. Kind of annoying emails? I didn't read them. You didn't read them? Oh, good. Yeah.

JIM: Can I give you guys a hand? Grab anything you'd like.

JIM: So I hear there's a new president?

STUDENT: Yeah. What do you hear about him?

STUDENT: I honestly don't know much about him.

JIM: I hear he's from Harvard? Oh, really? Kind of a snooty place, don't you think? Yeah, that's what I've heard. Yeah I know, me too.

JIM: Can I say hi to your dog? Your dog's not coming here, right?

JIM: So I hear UVA has a new president? You hear anything about him?

STUDENT: Not really.

JIM: Do you know his name?

MOM: Jim Ryan.

JIM: That's right. You probably don't have much in terms of expectations...

JIM: I do?

JIM: Are you hoping that you'll get a chance to meet him at some point? Sure, that'd be cool. Well I'm Jim Ryan, I'm the new president. (LAUGHING) My name's Jim Ryan

STUDENT: Nice to meet you.

JIM: Nice to meet you too, I'm the new president. I am, yeah, no kidding! Are you hoping to meet him at some point? Or do you not care that much? Are you President Ryan? I am President Ryan. Very nice to meet you. Best of luck to you. I'll see you around Grounds. Nice to see you guys.

JIM: Well it's really nice to meet you, I'm Jim Ryan. Oh, really? Oh Goodness...

JIM: Very nice to meet you.

MOM: Nice to meet you too. Nice to meet you, sir.

JIM: Nice to meet you as well. Hey I had a great time meeting meeting some families and doing some moving. I hope to meet many more of you over the next year and now I'm afraid I got to go back to the Pavilion and ice my back a little bit.
