This week on “UVA Weekly,” University of Virginia President Jim Ryan and student co-host Davion Zeno turn their attention to the upcoming Thanksgiving break, thanking UVA students for their hard work in following public health precautions so far and urging them to finish strong.
Dr. Meredith Hayden, associate director of Student Health and Wellness, discusses some of those precautions, including pre-Thanksgiving testing. UVA has several options for students to get a COVID-19 test before leaving Charlottesville. You can read more about those options here. In-person instruction for the fall semester will conclude at the Thanksgiving break, and is scheduled to resume Feb. 1 for the spring semester.
Also this week, student and faculty leaders offer viewers a glimpse of how the Cavalier Marching Band has adapted to the pandemic, recording songs together even when they must be physically apart.
