Jonah Zinn, director of Jewish Student Life 
at the University of Virginia Hillel organization, recently won the prestigious Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence Award from the national Hillel organization. He was one of seven individuals from colleges and universities across the country who received the award at the annual Hillel conference in December 2007.

Named for Richard M. Joel, Hillel president from 1989-2003, the Exemplar Awards are presented to those Hillel professionals who demonstrate a solid commitment to Jewish campus life with proven success of their dedication to Hillel's mission.
