History professor Julian Bond is included in a new book and CD set commemorating Martin Luther King Jr., "Voices: Reflections on an American Icon Through Words and Song," published by the Dalmatian Press and the Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Bond was honored during the society's tribute concert and reading held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Jan. 13.

Bond, who has been a member of the U.Va. history department since 1990, also teaches at American University and is chairman of the NAACP.
