March 14, 2008 — University of Virginia communicators garnered more than a dozen awards, including two Grand Awards, in the District III competition of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. In total, U.Va. won 15 CASE awards — seven Awards of Excellence and six Special Merit Awards, in addition to the top two awards — for publications, admissions and alumni projects and Web pages devoted to promoting the University.

The Grand Awards went to the program for Black Alumni Weekend and the Week in Photos section of the University's home page.
