More than 4,000 new Hoos gathered on the Lawn to sign the University’s Honor Code and hear from President Jim Ryan.
A crowd of 1,500 students laced up shoes for a 2-mile jaunt around Grounds, their home for the next several years.
The changes and updates are meant to balance the University’s free speech commitment with ensuring Grounds remain accessible to all.
