Aylor Appointed Director of American Society of Engineering Education's Deans Council

December 22, 2009 — James Aylor, dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia, has been appointed a director on the Engineering Deans Council of the American Society of Engineering Education.

The Deans Council is composed of representatives from each of the engineering colleges in the society. The council meets to assess and recommend policies affecting the overall administration of accredited engineering institutions, provides a forum for the exchange of problems and experiences between different engineering schools, formally represents engineering schools and works as a part of the society on areas of common interest.
